“I thought you said you loved to love?” I stopped dead in my tracks at the foot of his door. His eyes red and glazed while mine laid hollow and bored. His words scrambled as his heart raced. I didn't know how to respond to his testament of haste. His quick words describing how I told him long before, how the world seemed more colourful when you start to adore. What he didn't realize was that it was never about him. I said love makes the world shine but I never claimed he made mine less grim. The rivers down his cheeks, proof he couldn't understand. I learned to love everything, except for him. “You can't claim to love love if it's so easy for you to leave” I tried to explain, i wish he’d listen when i speak. I'm sorry I have to do this, but what I say is true. It's not that i dont love to love, it's just that I didn't love you.
