the flowers of evil...

oshimi is really fun in a kind of punpun kind of way; i do think that his flowers of evil series has been my favorite so far. i am not as far in on happiness or blood on the tracks yet, but i do think that is because the flowers of evil did really grip me right away. i know that it's semi-autobiographical and i think that does help, sort of, with how gripping it is?

i just finish volume 3. it really does kind of shock me that we're here, at this part of the story, this soon. it does make me wonder how this whole thing is going to go? like, this felt like a third-act breakup in any normal story, but oshimi is so far from normal that it's kind of fun? i dunno! there are eleven volumes total! how! what!

but i guess we'll see. i do own volume 4 but after that we'll see how long it takes me to get more. i'm kind of drifting in the middle of sort of wanting to go on some kind of book buying ban and also like... not.

except i'm going to barnes and noble today. so like. probably if there's going to be a ban it's going to start tomorrow.
