Filipinos Practicing Catholicism

Growing up in a Christian Dominated country is so ass like People are so damn proud of a religion brought by our OPPRESSORS. I personally dont understand why people practice the religion of their oppressors when they know that their ancestors adopted that religion through a path that’s not very ideal. I mean it’s not like our ancestors just hugged Christianity, it was forced upon them. filipinos hold on so much on catholicism, is it because they’re scared that they’ll go to hell? Most likely. Same goes for others, like most Nigerian people now practice Christianity while their ancestors used to practice the Yoruba, most of the Persian people are practicing islam now, while their ancestors practiced Zoroastrianism. I mean, I don’t support catholicism or other Abrahamic religions not JUST because of the fact that it was spread through a very foul way, but because I believe that a lot of things in the bible, Quran, & other books contradicts itself. I just cant comprehend how a deity can be both all good and omnipresent at the same time, I mean if you’re a creator and is all good and has seen a bunch of kids/women get molested and raped yet let it happen, that basically just contradicts one another..and I can list so much more on why Abrahamic religions r just a bunch of nonsense
