stay well! by smilley on spotify and the other platforms. needed to express my newfound love for this album! idk how to write reviews but i just love this thing. it's eight tracks with the first song being a short 40 second intro. his voice is truly angelic imo and if you are seeing this i would sooo give it a shot if you like indie/alt rock.
the album itself is about the end of a relationship and the dependency he had on that person. it's sad of course and its such an enjoyable listen for me and i think many people could relate. i also know many people probably just dont care about songs focused on relationships, but its such a nice listen sonically that i would atleast give it a shot. and if thats you i might try the song "spiral" first, its definitely the most intense sounding but the lyrics don't have to be romantic if you're tired of that in music haha
my big highlights are wait, sleepy hollow, time alone with you, and goodbye. wait is the first song i heard from him so it has a special place in my heart, it connects with me the most because i LOVE to yearn and im sure many of you do too. sleepy hollow has a lot of cute lyrics and sounds very nice, but talks about changing or hiding yourself for someone elses approval... too real... time alone with you has my favorite chorus and goes into that more, like i will do ANYTHING for you. and goodbye breaks my heart i cant even talk about it.
i would love to see a review of this by someone who knows music terms but basically it's good, great voice great instruments great lyrically. you can both jam and cry. i am sooo excited to see what this guy does next i am literally so happy i found his tiktok lives lmao and if you're reading this... check it out!!!
