I honestly don't get the hate for psychology related careers. Which is what I want to pursue.

I find psychology interesting, and I want to understand people, and help them understand themselves, but I've always seen these people say, 'oh you shouldn't do this, you wont make a lot of money'. But honestly, I would like to talk to people and help them achieve that self-discovery. And many careers like that have a successful out-bringing. 

So honestly, I think it's okay to have whatever career choice you want, just as long as you know what you are getting yourself into, and you don't let people try to convince you otherwise.
