i don't understand.
i saw a post on Pinterest saying, "if you ship ppl irl, dni" or something like that.
I wonder why, because almost all of my classmates (*even teachers*) do it.
can someone answer this question?

When it goes beyond just thinking that people might be cute together, it can get quite creepy and invasive. Imagine if lots of people were writing or drawing sexual fantasies involving you (gets especially invasive now with ai generated images) and ocasionally a friend or aquaintance. It's especially invasive with queer people who aren't out (you can look at how Daniel Howell has talked about this) because it's stressful to have people speculate about you or draw you being straight.
Basically it's an issue with boundaries and celebrity culture (especially minor/internet celebeties who don't have a publicity team to help manage things like this)
