Figuring it out

I've been online for as long as I can remember, without restrictions. The raw, untamed internet.

There’s always been something kind of comforting about slipping into a persona that’s not really you—but not exactly not you either. It’s just easier, you know? You can exist in spaces that don’t need your full story, and the only rule is to show up however you feel that day. But the thing is, after a while, I started to wonder if I’d even know who I really was.

In a lot of ways, the internet has always been about freedom to me. Freedom to explore, to create, to do what you want without someone breathing down your neck. I guess that’s part of where my views come from—there’s something about the open spaces of the internet that feel like a last frontier. A place where you can just exist, not answer to anyone, and be left alone to make something out of nothing. That’s the kind of world I’m hoping for more of. A world that doesn’t micromanage or over-regulate, just lets things breathe.

But who knows? I think I’m still figuring all of it out. And if the internet’s taught me anything, it’s that things don’t always need to make sense right away.

I want my experience to be more real. SpaceHey seems like a good first step towards that. Me.
