hello, new, reading, too many books, oh jesus christ

the absolute anachronistic loser in me does love the whole idea of this entire website; i don't even remember where i learned about it but it is genuinely wonderful and i love it. anyway, this feels like a fun place to really talk about books in a way that i haven't in written format in a long time. so.

i have over 2500 unread physical books. that's not even counting everything on my kindle, because of course i have a kindle, too, that's a given. i also just ordered a bunch more because someone gave me a Real Person Job with Real Person Money and i live in Rural Small Town with Cheap Rent, Comparatively, and so. i have money for that.

currently i am reading dark mountain by richard laymon and tbh it is probably one of my least favorite books i've read by him. it's just kind of dull. my favorite by laymon is in the dark, though, which really throws the shit at the wall and you have to just sort of see what sticks, but it's... ehhh. eh. maybe it'll really stick the landing, but idk. idk. we'll see!

we'll see how all of this goes! fingers crossed.
