(Ik you posted this awhile ago, but I'm finally checking my all friends blogs lol) I like annotating stuff the second time I read it, and it doesn't have to be serious or anything either. We have to annotate for English class and half my notes or just stuff like "bar" or "that's so real honestly". I love making silly annotations and than just randomly adding something super insightful. I also love the idea of after I die someone reading my annotations and thoughts when they find my book in a thrift store or used book store or something.

that does sound fun!! i feel like if i were to annotate a lot of mine would just be "wtf!!!!!" is various tones. I absolutely love the idea of thrifting for books & finding some with annotations honestly, and it's a nice thought that if you do annotate, someone will be reading it years after!

i personally really like the idea of annotating! though i only annotate books while reading for the second time around. some people think annotating a book ruins it but i mean it's *your* book and you should personalize it however you want to :)

annotating during the 2nd read actually makes a lot more sense!! haha I tend to miss things the first time I read something so the 2nd read is always a rediscovery. and yes I agree with that! as long as it's a book someone owns and didn't borrow, I feel it should be used however the owner wants to use it!

yess ^^ and if the book is borrowed, you can always note down the quotes and your fav lines from the book in a separate notebook instead of underlining the text itself !
