I hate friend request spam.
I hated it on facebook.
I hated it on myspace.
I hated it on tumblr and every other SMS I've been on.
If I wanted to spam requests, I would, but no.
I'm not like that.
If we chat, or interact a bit, feel at ease with one another, yeah maybe.
But don't go shoving your friend requests in my face thinking I'll accept at random.
I won't and I don't do that shit.
If I hadn't spoken/chatted with ya before,
or I don't see an age on your profile,
that's an auto decline, for my comfort & safety and your own.
Paganmother, out.

This! I even had a note in my bio for a while: "please interact with me first". Everyone ignored it. In fact, as a general rule, only people who never interacted with me send friend requests. Those I talk to in the forums don't seem interested.
Yep, I've made it a habit to check if I've ever interacted with them before and if I hadn't, just decline the invite. Some are rather annoying with trying to push by repeated requests but a block usually fixes that pretty quickly.
