Hello friends, I don't really write blogs but i'm bored so fuck it i'm going to show ya'll some of the coolest tapes I have in the collection i'm even gonna talk about each band a little bit so here we go!
The first tape is the Carcinogen Kure demo from 1992 if you’re a fan of Dystopia this is their drummer Dino Sommese's project before dystopia was created, JEEZ did I have to spend quite a bit to have this tape in my collection but oh my was it so worth it.
The second tape is Throat Slitters 2014 demo, Throat slitter was a Canadian powerviolence project from Squamish BC featuring members from Obacha after they split up, if you’re a fan of fast aggressive grind then you should definitely check this release out. you can buy physical copies off Issac off blast addict.
Now this next one has always had a soft spot in my life it was one of the first cassettes I ever wanted and I finally got it added into the collection a year ago. That album is Macintosh Plus Floral Shoppe this was my introduction to not just electronic music but the vaporwave genre, the chopped and screwed parts make you feel like it's a warped psychedelic trip that always makes you keep coming back to listen. A classic album from my childhood that still gets played to this day!!
Kmart 1989-1992 is a very interesting listen it gives you that feeling of shopping at Kmart in the 80's / early 90's I actually wasn't the biggest fan of this release until some friends and I gave it a listen too on shrooms, theres not really much to say about this one but it's still a awesome tape for the collection.
Meth drinkers oil is one noisy evil sounding album but that's why I love it so much. Definitely give this a listen to if you’re a fan of sludge and doom metal. This is the New Zealand trios final full length that makes you want to hear more after each listen, the tapes first pressing sold out years ago but there are quite a few represses out there so it's kinda easy to find.
And finally we got Hantsai Vacant Places this is some errie yet beautiful sounding masterpiece of the mallsoft music genre the prefect soundtrack for exploring abandoned places. The vibe of this album is very liminal almost like you've been sucked into the backrooms, and are stuck in Rolling Acres mall trying the find the exit. This album can be very pricy to buy so if you want you better be money ready lol but it's so worth it!!
And there you go thanks for reading and hopefully i've shown ya'll some new music THANKS 4 READING :)
