augh i wish i had my bass right now
i just finished taking a human anatomy test- i didn't understand most of the unit, as for the other ones too; last semester the units we're actually interesting and i think our teacher was lecturing well, but this semester ehh
anyways besides the point- i really want my bass right now; i feel like playing suki suki daisuki by jun togawa or maps by the yeah yeah yeahs, those are pretty fun to play
i got my first bass in 2022, and i still mostly use it for practice. when i wanna get fancy i use my second and newest one gifted to me in 2024. i named that one genesis, for new beginnings and all that stuff
i'm waiting to be placed in a band with a guitar player and drummer at the music school i go to. i've never played in a band before- i created a band but we never did anything together. more like a fantasy. my teacher says that the two boys he'll put me with are pretty cool and i'll get along with them in both social and musical terms. he did advise me though that the guitarist had issues with their last bassist and removed himself from the larger band he was playing with; it's a lot of lore but apparently with this smaller band they're missing a bass player, and that's where i'm supposed to come in
it's still pending, so i'm not even sure if i'm going to be put with specifically these two, but we'll see. robert said they're good matches, and the music school's top priority is to put students together that will match in age, genre of music and skill. robert thinks i'm very good at playing the bass. he says i'm a natural and within minutes i can get something down. i get really nervous though, very nervous, but i love playing regardless. i hope i'm as good as they say i am. either way, i'll play like a superstar one of these days
