Hello... would it be wrong to say everypony?
I'm in a little bit of a pickle. The story goes like this: I have a little sister and she hates reading. I tried to explain to her how fun it is to learn new words and facts but she probably just thinks I'm a huge nerd (which I am lol there's nothing wrong with that). My parents keep pressuring her into finishing the books she has for school. From experience, I know that if you obligate someone to do something they'll hate it forever.
Now, I need some tips on how to show my sister that reading is actually fun and and helpful. There are enough uncultured people out there, and I don't want her to be the type of person to show off the fact that she hasn't opened a book since 5th grade. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated!
Until next time! <3

Your parents are doing the wrong thing!!! Don't make your child read textbooks, they are boring!!!
My parents also thought I didn't like to read, and I always thought that when I was little, but I actually love reading!!!!
Maybe your sister also deep down wants to read, but because of parents' oppression the opposite effect happens....
I suggest you take her to a bookshop. Or to the library. Buy or borrow a book she likes. Not one that her parents will like, but one that she will really like. Even if it's a manga, or a comic book..... That would be progress. Reading manga is not a bad thing.... Maybe then she'll get interested and move on to regular novellas!!!
