`꒰ঌ ໒꒱` Doutzen Kroes: Humble Beginnings ♡

Born on January 23rd, 1985, in the village of Eastermar in the province of Friesland (Netherlands), to her mother, Geartsje Leistra, and her father, Johan Kroes. Doutzen, despite being a Victoria's Secret Angel for a total of 6 years, she's stated before in interviews that she never actually considered being a model when she was younger, describing herself as a "tomboy". In fact, she aspired to be a professional speed skater like the both of her parents!

In 2003, Kroes ended up sending pictures of herself to a modeling agency (Paparazzi Model Managment), thinking nothing of it.

Soon after she sent this picture, she was sent by her agency to New York, where she was casted by the lingerie brand Victoria's Secret, officially starting her modeling career!
