I said it. No one else wanted to say it but fuck it, I did. I'm sorry to any fans of "those" bands. But I truly don't know how you would listen to chiptune emo rock shit. Like hbu listen to 4th wave emo bands like The Hotelier, or Modern Baseball. Not fucking Meet Me @ The Alter. Did you hear that Disney song they made? That shit is out and AIN'T EMO. I'm not personally emo I just listen to the genre and all the different waves heavily (besides 5th wave I think). What is 6th wave going to be? People banging rocks together and call that music? We better get are shit together for this 6th wave that will eventually come. Be ready people for "possibly" shit music.
5th wave emo sucks ass.

You're paying too much attention to signed bands. Look more into the 5th wave DIY scene. Texas has a whole bunch of new bands putting out stuff that sounds like Circa Survive, Senses Fail and Underoath and shit. I literally made a blog shouting my favorite new bands out. Also I don't think MM@TA is a vad band by any stretch. Not emo, definitely pop punk, but at least it has more heart compared to tiktok slop like TX2 and Jake Webber who CONSTANTLY shill the emo label in the most corporate buzzword way possible without making anything that sounds remotely emo.
the trouble is, what is considered to be 5th wave is just so spread out and scattered in so many ways from everything before it that it’s hard to call it all one cohesive genre of music when there are so many different influences at play and none of the artists sound at all alike
