I have been making simple video game style music with BeepBox and it's many mods since 2022 and it's fun! You can really learn a lot about music after messing around for a long time and doing whatever. I finished the first song that i actually really like from me in December 2024 and it's called "Nostalgic Isolation" (reminds me of isolation but also has nostalgic sounds), i made it with AbyssBox which is a mod of a mod of a mod, etc of BeepBox, i have also tried other tools like LMMS but i only made covers from midis with it, it is a good basic free tool that supports VST plugins (just not VST3). If you plan on making music i recommend sticking to something and just doing, you could watch a lot of YouTube videos or read a lot about music theory but the best results come from you! I don't have a lot to say and i don't make blogs much but this is something i felt like typing, after highschool i will be making more songs and hopefully way better ones!
Making music (even if it's "bad") is really fun

hi lydia summoned me here. i love abyssbox sooo much i barely know anything about music but i love the themes and instruments lol
i have a work in progress track that sounds like it is straight out of super mario galaxy! you can create really nice space sounds with it

beepbox mention!!! this is what i use!!!
beepbox is jus so easy to use, fl studio looks good but it's expensive :( beepbox has always just been an easy click and considering i import midis sometimes to make little mashup projects and such, its just way easier to use without needing any real effort, so i've been stuck to it. lmms is cool but i can't get to work with it
it's just so fun to do stupid vgm things like this where it's just all chiptune elements, and even stuff like this where it's just a song sample over some cool drums and stuff
also checked out your bandcamp!!! u make cool stuff, keep going
