I really need to hug a gator

Let's go back to 2024...February 14, Cavemanon, the same group that created Snoot Game releases I Wani Hug That Gator!. I really didn't think it was a big deal...until I played Snoot Game. I'll just say that those were the best 10 dollars I've ever spent in my life. Yes, this is the introduction, maybe tomorrow I will do a review of Mars Attack or something else interesting, but today I am going to write about a game about an alligator in a wheelchair (believe me, this is a deeper game than you imagine).

Gator, gator, gator

Lol, another visual novel, but this time about an gator!

Well, today's blog is about a visual novel :D (I really like them, please recommend me more). Well, to start talking about this game FIRST we have to talk about its "big brother", that is Snoot Game. Well, I don't know if you remember when Sony made that video where trailers came to show the power of their console the PS5...and Goodbye Volcano High appeared. And also if you remember correctly that day the internet was filled with hatred towards the game, and then...Cavemanon decided to make his own Goodbye Volcano High: Snoot Game!

I already mentioned Snoot Game in my first blog, but I didn't talk much about it in depth. Snoot Game is basically a visual novel with DINOSAURS (yes, again) which I really liked in a positive way, although hey, it helped that it featured a weed-smelling Raptor, a depressive goth pterodactyl, and a bright purple and VERY annoying triceratops. Basically, the story follows the pterodactyl who simply wants to make his gang stop being bullied at school, here the story is divided into 4 endings, 2 good and 2 bad. The 2 bad endings are...bad (what a surprise, lol), I would really like to talk about the game, but I really want you to try it so you understand my point, besides it is worthless, you can download it for free on the internet (from a reliable website, that is, the official Snoot Game website).

Well, now talking about the game in this short review, I Wani Hug That Gator is almost the same as Snoot Game (in the sense that it has dinosaurs and the art is almost the same) and that doesn't make it bad, IT MAKES IT AMAZING. The story really stands out and is one of the best things that came out last year. The plot places us again in a school (like Snoot Game), again with a human, you arrive, everyone looks for you to take photos with you and then they leave (like in real life). After that you meet Ben, a parasaurolophus something...I'll let him figure it out for you. He takes us around the school and while we are like idiots listening to what he says, the protagonist of this story appears, OLIVIA! (The alligator).

Well, I think I mentioned it before, he is an alligator in a wheelchair who loves drawing. Yes, a character like that is much deeper than Rey in all the films of the new Star Wars triology. In order not to ruin the story for anyone who wants to play the visual novel, I will talk about what is seen in the Steam Demo (yes, it does have it and you can play it). Well, basically we arrive, they welcome us, we meet a pink Dilophosaurus which is the funniest sh- in the game, and a Brachiosaurus (I don't know what species it is) which has a comically long neck, which again is the funniest thing I've seen in months, not counting the Dilophosaurus. And to finish talking about the characters...Olivia is an interesting case of a character in video games, she is a real girl, I mean, it doesn't feel like she was a character written simply to be the typical example of inclusion in a game. She has a personality worked enough to break your heart in the bad endings or end up crying in the good endings.

I really don't have more to say because mostly my opinion is based on VERY little play time since I don't want to ruin the story for anyone who wants to play it. So if you have time and you liked the way I describe this you can try it, it's 10 dollars and it's a nice experience, you won't regret it!

Gator Gator Gator Gator Gator GATOR!

Well, to finish this review I wanted you to simply rate it and leave a comment if you liked it, specifically about if you want me to talk about something else or also if you want to recommend visual novels to me. Maybe tomorrow's blog will talk about Mars Attack, but that's if my procrastination lets me get up to ride my bike to my uncle's house to see the letters and the story of Mars Attack or simply watch the Tim Burton movie. Anyway, maybe I'll do anything tomorrow, whichever comes first.

This game is better than: Genshin Impact
