2/18/25 Drum Update 1-

I have been taking drumming lessons for a few weeks now. It's currently simple but I know it's going to get wayyyy more complex. I'm just waiting for it to strike me straight in the face lol. I know simple drum patterns. I just got an electric drum set and it should be coming tmrw hopefully! I've been heavily influenced by all different types of math rock bands. I just truly feel like it is objectively the best genre. Well, it isn't really a genre, it's more like a format. You can't just call a band a math rock band. They usually are 2nd or 4th wave emo bands. Screamo shit, different type of pop-rock. I don't want to go on a whole fucking rant about it (though eventually I will make a blog about my pov of math rock). But back to the REAL blog. My instructor is actually my cousin. He has been playing the drums for years now and he decided to become a instructor at my local music store. I truly look up to him music wise (even though I just said I look up to early math rock bands), I mean human wise. I feel like everyone should look up to the person who taught them the art y'know? It just shows a sign of respect that everyone should have for them. I think I should probably rap this blog up and make updates tmrw after getting my drums. So we shall call this the first?
