Three Radikal Rekerds #17: Antelucan Arboretum of Arboreal Adespota

It seems yet again I have Spacehey user's musical outfits to feature, spoiling my plans and and adding new pages to my ad-hoc backlog of albums I intended to review - and this isn't even all the people in my friends list I still need to talk about!
And I wouldn't have it any other way ;p
Make sure to give these records a listen, and their Spacehey profiles a friend request, should it please you.

The Migraine Aura, Camden
Genre: Shoegazer/Dream Pop
Standout track: Camden
I'd originally planned to feature their debut self-titled EP, but the band dropped these three stellar new tracks a few days ago and had to have a rethink. The titular single Camden is an uptempo glittering pop rock gem in the vein of Bloc Party, but with warmer tones and some crazy guitar solos. What's interesting about this release is that each of the three tracks boast a different vocalist, the second song I Don't Wanna Go To Work is a short but sweet bedroom punk piece, and the third and final track veers off into symphonic-electronic Björk-esque territory. This band has variety!

RanCoffiN, Ci-dessous dans l'enfer gelé
Genre: Black Metal/Crust
Standout track: Cercueils Congelés
Barbaric French language blackened punk/d-beat crossover project from a Spacehey user named Lone_Necromancer. An absolute must-listen for fans of Deiphago, Peste Noire and Grinning Death's Head. Isn't is peculiar that hardcore punk and underground metal make such a brilliant pairing? Sometimes they feel poles apart in terms of ideology, themes and aesthetic, but when brought together they can birth the most gloriously scornful sound >:3

ROSI, Sad Dance Songs
Genre: Coldwave
Standout track: Ordinary Room
Spacehey has done an excellent job of rekindling my old love for electrogoth bands with both polish and puissance. All that lo-fi I'd been indulging in made me forget how much clean production can add to a song. It takes a moment to adjust to the vocalist's off-kilter and somewhat mocking delivery, but it fits the lyrical content and "aesthetes batcave" vibe of the album so perfectly!

I also collect the last five TRR updates I've made into a sort of "bundle bulletin", so hopefully it'll get a few new ears in about two or three days time.
