Asmodeous & His History

Asmodeous— Asmodeus does not trace his origins to Christianity. In the earliest references, the entity known as Asmodeus was referred to as Aeshma the deva, a significant figure in Zoroastrianism. Aeshma, depicted as a Deva, embodies the malevolent deities within this ancient faith. He is specifically recognized as the deity wrath.

Zoroastroism was the main religion of the empire Persia, hence it had an influence in religions that popped up afterwards. Zoroastroism began to spread through the surrounding nations, becoming apart of their belief system e.g babylonia, so, asmodai started to be closely associated with lust.

Asmodeous is one of the seven princes of hell, He also appears as the antagonist in the Book of Tobit and in several Talmudic legends, Asmodeous is recognized as the adversary in the Book of Tobit and appears in various Talmudic tales that portray him in opposition to the sorcerer King Solomon. Asmodeous is listed as the 32nd spirit in the Ars Goetia. In Islamic tradition, he is identified as the king of jinn. During the Renaissance: christians regarded him as one of the kings of the nine hells. Asmodeous: commanding 72 Legions of Demons and is said to be subject to either Satan or the Jinnestan Emperor, Amaymon.
