New AURORA song and uses of AI

Hello friends. . . I'm very disappointed today. . .

I saw AURORA newest video song and lets say I was not very happy with it. . .
The video in question is AURORA - Some Type Of Skin (ft. ATARASHII GAKKO!).
I love both artist and was happily surprised by their collaboration ! !
The song is really addictive and I've been putting it in repeat for some hours now~~  ꒰ღ˘‿˘ற꒱❤⃛

I personally clicked on the video thinking it was very amateur/poor skill art but no. . . It's traced work and AI. I know I sound mean wording it this way but it's the reality. . .

I want to respect all form of art even the most amateur-ish one, but this is really bad and lazy work and I can't understand how an artist like AURORA accepted this work. It's as if this was totally normal and good work. . . Don't the team behind AURORA checked for this artist background ? !

Sorry but today I'll be a hater and points out everything that is bad in this clip video. It's not like speaking and wording my thought would change anything about the current situation, but if I can teach you some information about AI and prevent future event of this sort to happen then I'm happy~~ [●´︶｀●]

But let's face it, most music enjoyer don't care about the use of AI in AURORA newest video. . .
Why would they care? It's just a simple visualizer. Most people listen to music via Spotify, Deezer or Youtube Music anyway. . .
It's not like they are consuming the video, they just care about the song quality and to be honest I'm also consuming most of music content this way.

What saddens me is that it's becoming progressively more and more common to be submerged by AI and it's becoming really difficult to not consume it. It's everywhere. Really.

Did you knew all this Youtube account Afloat in Time's music and thumbnail are generated by AI? 【・ヘ・?】Well, me neither ! ! Anyway. . . Let's go back to the AURORA situation !

Laura Kelly it is. You can see her instragram, and if you look at some of her work progress video. . . you will find when she traced over ATARASHII GAKO's hands.

While I don't think tracing is bad in some case (such as learning and tracing over our own work/photography), I don't understand the appeal of doing it if it's just to make it looks this bad. I truly believe they don't have the artistic skill to understand hand anatomy (let's not talk about folds, it's enough). . . (´･_･`)

It's not an artistic choice, it's pure laziness. The line work is poor. . . There are no construction and the animation breaks the drawing apart. . . .

I would not have validated this quality (;｀O´)oﾒｰｰNO!ｰ!!

They know how to uses AI and they did with the clip main illustration.
They only traced over it to poorly animate it after (´･_･`) . . .


It was easy to see as the eyebrow don't make any sense. Why do they merge with the hair? Why aren't straight ? Why are her hair all merging weirdly at the bottom ? Why didnt they bother to fix it if they traced over it anyway ? ? ? ? ? ? ? (・・？)

Why doesn't it look like AURORA but like any other anime girl style generated by AI?
Where is her mini bang ? Where does the black hand comes from ?

Yes, it's TRACED over AI generated picture. But the artist won't even hide it in Aurora promotional tour video, you can see AI generated background. . . .

I'm speechless. . . (´･_･`)
Nobody cares. The promotional video has been up for 8 month now.

AURORA Opinion on AI

Mind you, AURORA is not in good favor of AI. You can listen to this short video of AURORA explaining her opinion about the matter.

What does it means in the end. I don't know (ﾟヘﾟ)？

I just feel defeated as an Artist. From all the talented and passionate people who, I'm sure, are willing to work for Aurora, they had to choose the lazy one.

What do I know, I'm just a hater behind my screen, but I hate the message it's sending.
I hope for a better future for us, we deserves so much more than computer replacing out work and giving chances to lazy opportunist.

I'm sure Laura Kelly is good as a graphic designer, but as an artist she is a fraud. It was a mistake.
