i think all arcane shippers -- caitvi, meljay, timebomb, etc -- should come together and defeat the common enemy: those jayvik fans.
you know the ones. the ones that literally ONLY care and jayvik and nobody else! the ones that probably didn't even watch the show because their takes on characters are so horrible! the ones that try to argue that jayce was NEVER in love with mel (or even worse, that he was only sexually attracted to her) because, again, they didn't bother actually watching arcane!
i remember the other day i saw a jayvik shipper condescending about the "eMotIonaL imPaCt" of jayvik vs caitvi. they were like "heh.. our favs got the best speech in arcane.. your favs got to bang in a prision cell." i found myself genuinely siding with a caitvi shipper, because at least their favs are confirmed AND alive! and i HATE caitvi with a burning passion.. just goes to show the lengths i'll go to defeat this demon of a ship fandom.

i thought the jayvik ship was dope and is one of my favorites, but i actually can't interact with that side of the fandom T_T. you can't even imply that it wasn't romantic without them getting up in arms about it.
the hate that those specific jayvik fans spread is wild (especially with mel like wtf) and they end up mischaracterizing every character in such an abysmal way.

I'm not a jayvik fan but i think that he wasn't in love with her but she was with him. He said "i will miss our talks" and she replied "no, you won't" knowing that he wasn't in love with her but just felt guilty and appreciated her company.
you're thinking of viktor and sky, who weren't in love. i was talking about jayce and mel, who ~were~ in love(if only for a short time)

I agree with your poin, but why do you hate catvi?
i just think that the ship was kinda rushed in the second season. i feel like they kind of had to make vi more of a pushover in season 2 to move the plot and the relationship along (i mean, when cait pseudo-breaks up with vi for not wanting to be an enforcer, they're only apart for, what, half an episode?), you know? and also, the whole oppressor x oppressed thing they have going on is not my cup of tea. and like, after caitlyn has spent her entire life hating and being around people who hate people from the undercity, to the point where she literally ~poisons their air~ to make the whole city a death-trap, is it really possible for her to see her girlfriend (who's from the undercity) as a full human?
also, i was being kinda dramatic :^ i don't' actually HATE caitvi, i just strongly dislike it. and i don't dislike caitvi shippers (because they're chill), i just dislike the ship.

I mean cait never really HATED the undetcity citezens, she just didn't really know their situaton ins1, and was to angry in s2 because of Jinx. (but Iinderstand that the ship might not be for everyone). Mostly I'm just really happy to have some cannon lesbian rep.
