Unrequited love.

In the sea of faces, I soak in your display.

Your voice is angelic, a unforgettable tone that leaves me breathless.

While those eyes reminds me of the bright summer sky.

You outshine the stage, a light that cant be ignored.

To some you're their joy in life, a motivation to live.

To me, you're my savior, my oxygen, a god in my eyes.

Soaring high in the sky, for I try to grasp your hand, only to be pulled back to the depths of my despair.

Stuck in the crowd, a haunting echo of ache for my place.

For I belong only behind the curtains.

Yes, you sing with passion but the words are filled with lies.

For the owner of the words you sing are not yours but mine.

Here to write words that I wish could reach.

They scream and yearn to love as I can't confess it to you.

Always out of sight, my prayers lost in time.

My angel in the sky, while you've been put high on a pedestal.

My voice weakens and my soul grieves.

The soft melody within my heart never to be listened.

3 syllables unbeknownst to you whether written or spoken.

So I pray to Lucifer, in hopes you'll fall from grace and into my embrace.

I'm selfish, I know.

So I'll keep these words to my grave.

As I'm not your lover but your songwriter, and these words are not love letters but a song of profit.

As you're my star and I'm your admirer.

As I am guilty and you the innocent.

As your voice is my poison and my words the toxicity.

As I am your follower and you the angel from god.

But these words are voiceless dreams.

For I am a composer and you, my vocalist.

That's all we are.

Yet, I'll still yearn for a euphony we could share.

- rice.
