MCKRAKEN || YOKAI WATCH

(I've been anxious about posting this draft since like. November so I'm js gonna do it here!!)

I know this concerns no one ever but thinking. About squid a lot forever. You get to hear about him too since I feel more shameless than usual today

Including but not limited to in this rant; projecting my love of choir. AND SOOOO I'm my vague next to nothing knowledge of musical placement to assign him something

Just by listening to his voice and theme for a while i think he'd make a good tenor 2 or even baritone maybe? Idk I just think it'd be neat. He'd probably like older music but idk about choir arrangement stuff....I do think he would enjoy the orchestra that would be playing with said hypothetical choir! They probably have choirs in the yokai world; possibly instructed by In-Tune? Maybe Sing Kong? Who knows.

I like the goofy non-canon hc that every boss has either made their own theme or had it bases off of themselves siosowkdw (a bit of both most the time, obvia.) I can see this with both of his themes, but my personal fave ykw ost of all time is his second theme Final Battle: Are You Ready?/I'm biased so I'll yap a bit about that one.

He seems fairly intentional, and likes his own bit of dramatics as reflected by the different little segments of said theme. I usually separate it into four; first being the intro where it's slower, second is the part right after that where it's a bit more upbeat. I like the bit near the end of it that feels sharp and more frantic than the rest of it. The third is where it gets all slow and eerie again with the iconic wispy sound effect in the background. It has the build-up into the fourth part, which is just everything near the ending. In the non-looping version of the track that a lot of people haven't heard for some reason, it has a rad ending with another increasingly cool segment (I enjoy that it adds in another little background part as it goes on if you know what I mean :])
