Just wanted to go ahead and state that this has slight mentions of anorexia, (indirect?) racism and drug use. Plz read at your own risk ^^! 

A few weeks ago, I learned that scene and scenecore are, in fact, not the same thing (don't judge me G I'm not that up to date :,D). The problem is that nobody is actually telling me the difference between the two lmao. This could be completely wrong btw, so don't quote me on this :,]

Soooo, from what I've picked up so far:

Scene 

• Scene is clothing based
• Scene is basically a poser of emo(?)
• Scene is (or was) less inclusive (I've seen people online say that in order to 'pass' as scene you had to be white and skinny. Like to the point you looked like you had anorexia.) 
• Scene has more drug-use enabling because of things like raves and/or parties (?)
• Scene developed around the early 2000s

Scenecore

• Scenecore is a mix of being both clothing and music based
• Scenecore gets its name from having the same clothing as Scene kids (?)
• Scenecore is more inclusive and you're more likely to see people of all shapes, sizes and colors (?)
• Music from scenecore includes artists like: 6arelyhuman, Hoshie star, Horrormovies, Punkinloveee, SUICIDAL-IDOL, Kets4eki, Siouxxie, Boy Fantasy, 100gecs, Laura Les, Rebzyyx, Ezekiel, WHOKILLEDXIX, Luci4, Lumi Athena, ratrace, Kid Trash, ElyOtto, etc
• Scenecore isn't drug heavy but it's big on caffeine and sugar (but then again caffeine is a drug so idk)
• Scenecore developed around the late 2010s to early 2020s

I couldn't find any pictures to differentiate the two because, y'know, they're so similar. Though if anyone could let me know the difference between scene and scenecore, or give some insight on the two styles, it would be much appreciated T-T. (Anybody can answer!!!)

 Also just wanna remind you that this post is more of a question than a statement. I'm still confused lol.

Anyway,
