[feb. 2025] my current obsessions

1. ivantill: i love love love them sm; the angst that comes with this pairing is just soooo chef's kiss. cure and black sorrow are def in my top 5 when it comes to alnst songs; the yearning and pining is everything. I'M NEVER GETTING OVER THE SCENE WHERE IVAN TAKES OFF TILL'S COLLAR AND LEANS INTO HIM.

2. my american government & politics class: actually a really great class--even more so when you put it next to my ap chemistry class... i love the teacher sm and i actually understand what's going on too, like wow. it's also really interesting and what we learn is def applicable to the real world.

3. you're the one - the vogues: this song is currently my fav everrr (the one that's playing rn) and it's been on loop for the past 3 days. ugh, it always puts me into a good mood right away. 

4. the queen's gambit: woahhhh okay i binge-watched this in one go and it's def a 10/10 show!! i'm not super knowledgeable in chess, but it was so interesting to watch & ik i'm late on the train because this series came out years ago but i was missing out for reals. the "do you still like my hair?" scene is so iconic.

5. hu yetao from chuang asia s2: i've been obsessed with him since chuang 2021 and ohmygod he gets prettier by the day. if he doesn't debut this time around, i'm actually rioting. i love bambam for making him popular lowkey because there's been an influx of edits on tiktok and i'm loving every single one. 

6. rosen blood (the manga): this was such a good read--a guilty pleasure of mine honestly. if you like vampire stories with a slightly gothic feel (?) you'd love this. it's like diabolik lovers but way better because i think it actually has an interesting plot. plus the art style IS GORGEOUS!!!! loved the ml, but the arc with the second ml and his unrequited love trope (classic) got to me... big sigh, this always happens. 

7. matcha lattes: ok guys i recently bought matcha latte powdered packets from an asian mart (because i'm too broke for real matcha) and it's not bad once i add honey to it after mixing it with hot water, so we're chill. absolutely delish.

8. painting my nails: i love doing girly things; it's the best when i have a show on too <3 only thing is i wish i cld grow out my nails more but my conductor and violin say no, so it is what it is... anyhow white is my go-to color atm but i'm trying out other colors too which is super fun!!!

9. staying up late & sleeping in: i love my bed. anyhow, my sleep schedule has been so wonky this week because i have off 4 days from school, but i'm absolutely loving it. i'm going to dread the upcoming week when i have to go back to barely getting 7 hrs of sleep... forever on the train that school should start at 10 a.m. and end at 5 lowkey. also, 4-day school weeks sound like heaven.

10. writing haiku poems: just got into them and it's been fun trying out the 5/7/5 syllable lines format! might make a post soon consisting of some i've written, but omg i recently also discovered this website called shadow poetry and it's literally dare i say every poet's dream (or maybe just mine)
