BlackkKlansman and no more bad week

Been a hot minute. Got down to the wire but I did it. Passed both tests back to back and I can now officially say, the bad week is over! Of course I still got one more test and the teachers been hyping this one up as the toughest one all year.

Enough about school though, just finished BlackkKlansman like 20 mins before I started writing this. Damn good, first Spike Lee Joint I've seen. Quick spoilers but gotta say really put into light for me how bad Charolettesville must've been. I was still pretty young, well younger, and haven't really thought of or seen videos of the event and back than I was more concerned about Breath of the Wild and coming to terms with how I had just grown out of Pokemon (truly I have been through some serious struggles in my early life). The acting was pretty spot on though the fat Klansman felt a bit cartoonish. I'm subscribed to the Spielberg philosophy of how to portray these types of people "Not completely incompetent and still threatening but still pretty buffoonish" so I quite liked how super evil Felix was and the rest of the Klan guys were just unnerving cause I know I've met guys that probably think that way and just aren't as open about it around me so as to not risk getting in trouble or just cause it's obviously unacceptable. But by god that fat was a damn joke. Always drunk or stuffing his face and he's who gets brought into the whole bomb plan? Otherwise I highly recommend this one and aside from his Oldboy remake am excited to check out some more joints by Spike Lee. Really dug the style that was on display too. From the way the phone calls were shot and cut together to one of the final shots with how the characters seemingly glide down the hallway, to how Spike will have the context of what the characters are talking about quickly flash on screen. It just works.
