The garden is vast,
Enough to last,
Lifetimes over,
The grasses cover,
The roses red,
The clover bed,
Dancing daisies in breeze,
Blooming dogwood trees,
Amber treesap like gold,
Sycamores of old,
Violets with vibrant hue,
A glittering stream running through,
Grapes in clusters on vine,
In excess all the time,
Tulips growing in a row,
Willow branches to and fro,
Blow and sway overhead,
The rambling path led,
Past all the wonder,
Some might call it a blunder,
That I would choose you,
But when I first saw you there,
I knew none could ever compare,
Little hopclover growing in the stone,
The greatest I have ever known,
Growing in defiance in the ground,
Not suited yet you were found,
Enduring there strong,
In spite of earthly wrong,
And so in that moment I knew,
It was always meant to be you.
