How do people keep in touch?

now let me begin with.. I have a lot of friends like two friend groups even, very social and you may think waw Kenny what a way to flex, you know the rest of the people who post here are bed-rotting doomers who have no social life but okay, lol now for some reason I can't seem to be able to call them my "real" friends. like sure I hang out with them I come over to their house, and share laughs and inside jokes but I can't help but feel like they are not my real friends, don't get me wrong they are good people but I'm still looking for that one person who really understands me who really gets me and shares the same interests as me I can't find anyone like that around me nor in my school, I did find some but there is just no way Im gonna walk up to them and go: "hey I saw you wear that T-shirt of that obscure rock band that no one knows let's be friends :D" no. I would rather jump onto a highway and get run over by a truck, anyway friends are boring any way who needs a friend when you can have a guitar you can sleep with every night, what I mean is friends are fun but after you leave them and be alone you think of how you talked about their day and drama that has happened in their life and the show they just watched and not even a single thing about what YOU like and what you wish they were interested in just an empty conversation and sometimes think I could have used all that time to do something useful or productive like get better at art or read a book or BREAK ANOTHER WINDOW OR TWO. okay rant is over
