Birthday Preparations

Hello SpaceHey,

It's almost my birthday soon, in just under two weeks i'll be 18, on the 28th of February. Funny fact, my mum really wanted me to be born on the last day of February, apparently she was praying for me to be born on the last day of Feb cause she thought the year i was born in was a leap year and wanted to be able to only celebrate my B-day every 4 years. She got her wish of course, but unfortunately she was a year off. HA!

But anyways this birthday is a huge one, a milestone, its the  age i've been waiting for, the big one eight, legally an adult (well in the UK and most of Europe anyways). 

I'm just a bit shaky on what im gonna do for this birthday. Right now the plan is to go to Nando's with a group of my friends then go comic shopping and hang, which honestly is NOT what i saw myself doing for my 18th. My original plan was to go clubbing, but that was a bust due to 3 reasons. reason NO1, most of my friends are younger than by like two weeks tops so there wouldn't be a lot of us for that plan, NO2 most of the clubs in London either suck, are too expensive or are 21+ and NO3  even if they were old enough to go clubbing with me, most of my friends's wouldn't even want to. I also think this disappointment im feeling for my birthday is due to the lie's and idle expectations i held about turning 18, due to watching early 2000s shows and movies that  romanticised the experience. On another note for my birthday, my aunt has bought me a refurbished Sony ericsson 591i phone so yay!

But i think that whatever i do for my birthday, as long as im with my friend's ill be alright
