Smile & Violence By にら子供 [Nira Kodomo]

This Album is the prime example of what I love and hate in Hardcore/Punk. What I love is the harsh, energetic, raw, loud guitars. What I hate is when vocalists sing in that deep, metal-ly and death growl like voice. It annoys me, I dont like it and it has destroyed many albums for me, where the instrumentals were perfect but the vocals bad. But to be honest its not that bad in this album, the voice is okay, but if the vocals were the same kind of voice, that YASU sings in, mostly in the band KIKEIJI, it would be to my liking and could easily be a 4/5. In my opinion the best Hardcore/Punk is yet again Kikeiji, Erotique Surfers and ボボ大流血, and this album would have probably been on there too, if only it had the vocals I have mentioned earlier. Dont get me wrong, I dont have anything against harsh vocals, no I like them, but not in the deep, growly way these guys do it. Though I must say, the beginning of the song "Maybe Tomorrow for 岡田有希子" was great, i'd like to know what it is, if anyone knows.
