People on TikTok are really silly to me. So, there are lots of fashion styles and trends on there, just like there are anywhere and everywhere. One that's been popular for some time is called "Older Brother-core," which is really just old 2000's clothes - just more "boy," genre, if that makes any sense. Now, I love that style! I was raised by men who dressed like that all the time; my father, uncles, etc - and it really stuck with me into my teenage years, and now adult. I really enjoy the style myself, and I want to buy more clothes like that. I will say, I think the name TikTok uses is very funny - I will never call this style "Older Brother," shit - but ANYWAY.
What I am talking about, are just stupid TikTok users who care WAY too much about what people wear. I scroll through TikTok's hashtags, including "#olderbrothercore," because I get some neat nostalgic videos from it, and on those videos, I see people calling kids and teens "posers," for simply wearing the style. I mean, come on, it's stupid. "Trend-hopper, poser," ETC just because a kid is wearing a style, they think is neat is... very funny. Stupid, actually. Different types of fashion statements are always trending, by that logic, just say EVERYONE is a "trend-hopper!" And "poser," what year are we in? How is a kid a "poser," just for wearing a cool style they found on TikTok?
It's absolutely ridiculous that people care SO much about what children are wearing on TikTok, just because they think it's "cringe," or they think they're a "poser," I mean, come on.
At the end of the day, anyone can wear whatever the fuck they want. Who gives a shit if some dumbass random TikTok user is calling someone a "poser?" How do you just sit on your phone all day calling people on TikTok "Cringe posers," just for enjoying a clothing style that they found?
Now, I understand using "poser," in SOME context. Example: like if somebody claims to be punk but go against everything it stands for - I understand that. But how can you simply be a "poser," for just... Enjoying clothes? It's just stupid to me personally, and the way these miserable people just bully people on there for wearing it bothers me.
People need to stop caring so much, and just let people enjoy little things. In the end, it's never that serious.
