I've been collecting physical media since I was young. I still remember ripping my CDs onto iTunes so I could list to it on my second generation iPod shuffle.
Now I have amassed over 300 CDs and am always getting more. I have a few cassettes and vinyl as well, but I am not gonna lie there is something about CDs that I just love. Probably because it reminds me of my childhood if we're being honest.
My prized CDs include Venom's Black Metal and Nails' Unsilent Death. They're definitely my favourites and I had someone try and barter for my Black Metal CD. That was funny.
Anyway, this is a pointless little rant about collecting physical music media. <3

same here, i have a kinda huge cd colletion, some of them i inherited from my dad, some of them i brought myself. one of the big reasons why i prefer cds to streaming is because of the cds themselves, the audio quality is always much better, cds always have booklets with all the songs lyrics and the credits of all the people who worked on the songs, a thing that streamings never show (is only the writers and producers) and cds (the booklets and the discs) also have very cool and unique designs, wich is very fun to look at. theres also these feeling not only with cds but with physical media in general, that i actually own it by having it, with digitalised stuff it feels like it could be taking away from me anytime.
Yes! You get it! Everything that comes with the CD (and the CD quality itself) is what makes them excellent to own. It’s also nice to buy from smaller artists (I have some cassettes even from some of my fave smaller artists) because I feel they get more money directly from sales of merch than streams. :)

Guhhh
heck yeah , collecting physical media will always mean more, cause it’s something tangible you can actually look at and hold and appreciate the art and effort that goes into putting it all together.
Exactly! That's why I collect, not only music but DVDs and books too. There is just something about them.
