I think it goes without saying that Valentines day is one of the most disheartening holidays to a lot of people - and honestly I feel the same way about it. The day is always just a reminder of something you don't have, of something that's just out of your reach. It makes you think about just how good it would be to actually have someone to talk to - how amazing it would be to have someone motivating you through the hardest days - and the end result of thinking about that stuff is just becoming increasingly depressed about the fact you don't have those things. To a lot of people the entire day just makes everything worse.

I've become used to being alone, especially how I'm a demisexual and I require close personal relationships before dating someone. Still hope you get that someone man. Don't compromise on your own self for someone else. They're not deserving of your love!

I use to work at a grocery store, and both valentines days I was working there it was the most depressing shit in the world. Seeing men / women get their [SO] something made me extremely depressed. Just gotta bare through it, ur romance will come soon.

i think i actually enjoyed valentines more when i was single. now that im in a relationship it gives me anxiety :/
That's understandable I suppose, but I'm curious what about it specifically did you enjoy when you were single? I've seen very few single people enjoy anything about the holiday honestly, besides the chocolate of course

being able to give stuff to my friends, like little goodie bags. i also rlly like hearts and pink so id buy a lot of things for decorating :p
