greek gods - hellenism

so last time i wrote about my new hobby and a new piece of jewelry that was inspired by the Greek goddess Aphrodite. recently, i've become interested in Greek mythology through the music of EPIC, and if you've never listened to them, i highly recommend it. really, they make great music and at the same time present the story of Greek gods and people, the events that happened to them in an entertaining way. when i was at school, Odyssey and Iliad seemed very boring to me, but now i really want to figure out this topic. 

i first learned about the religion of Hellenism, which is based on the belief in Greek gods, obviously. people create altars for the gods they choose as their patrons and whom they want to worship, and then they have to bring them offerings. the offerings, in turn, depend on which god you choose, because they have different needs. personally, I want to create an altar for Aphrodite, so i plan to put pink candles, stones like quartz, pearls, sea shells, cinnamon, dried roses, and perfume etc. i'll add photos below for inspiration, and eventually post what i've done myself. 

it would be nice to talk to people who are experienced in this.
