Japan Gyaru Thrift Finds!!!!

hey guysss

been wanting to start posting thrift finds and blogs, and my recent finds are good enough that i HAVE to now!

starting off with this super fun and cool alba rosa tye dye pareo, ive seen this one in a spread in EGG magazine but i cant find an archived upload of the page right now... any EGG maniacs have a link? this set me back the most but i cant imagine going the summer without this.

next up these cow print chunky heels (mules?) remind me of those late 90s era cowgirl style gyaru. i thought i'd seen 'one way' in EGG or something before but not sure? these are definitely newer and not actually vintage from what i can tell but theyre perfect for the look i wanted (esp at 500 yen!)

this alba rosa mini dress is sooo cute. the pastel colors and the stripes are so late 90s and the cut is really flattering! when it warms up, im planning to wear this with my white strappy platform sandals and a matching white mini purse :)

finally, this long sleeve rote rosa top was only 300 yen! ive been eyeing up items from this brand, a maybe lesser known sister brand to el rodeo, which was one of the popular gyaru brands back in the late 90s/y2k. i never expected to find this brand in the wild so i audibly gasped lol. it might be hard to see in the pic but the corner near the bottom switches to denim fabric, a nice texture detail and a good compliment to the ocean-y blue hibiscus logo

✿on a side note: ive noticed that among the girls in the city, gyaru is definitely not dead! ive never seen anyone do any out-there manba or ganguro makeup but the reiwa gyaru are everywhere, even on campus going to class in platform boots. y2k is for sure having a boom here too in the fashion sphere along with a sort of grungey style. i stay doing my bright colors and millennium style makeup tho lol...✿
