all i know about poison

poison as wikipedia puts it is: a substance (mainly a chemical one) that is harmful to living organisms.

so like not everything is classified as poison by the amount you consume to get poisoned because if we went by that logic that it can be considered poison apples would be poisonous (if you eat around 155.000 apples with their seeds it will kill you)so we cant classify poison by the amount then how can we classify it? we deem something poisonous by the lethality of the substance.

in the bio field a poison is: a chemical substence that might cause death or injury upon living organisms(im unsure about the bio thing tho)

now poison is seen as any harmful substence and it doesnt have to be chemical anything that is remotely harmful would be called a poison and not many can diffrerentiate between "venomous" and "poisonous".

venoms are a toxin that is deliverd by injection into the body (venoms are usually injected into the body by a pierce made by fangs or stingers like the ones on scorpions and snakes), venoms are toxins that are usually made in an animal as a way of protection from other predators.

poisons on the other hand are toxins deliverd by consumption or inhalation,venoms and poisons may have antidotes (for the unfortunate circumstances in which you consume/are injected with these toxins) depending on the toxin type some are known to have an antidote.

not every poison out there is deadly some might cause a simple rash or mild indigestion (or in some cases severe).

what is the most known poison? (idk i think maybe cyanide?)
