A Little About Me

I have absolutely no idea what to write so I'll probably just end up rambling like I always do.

~ Well for starters my name is Kyya lol hi 

~ I will forever be stuck in the 2000/2010's emo era. I miss seeing alternative people out and about, maybe it's just where I live and I'm the coolest person in my area lol. I'm always looking for alternative friends that share a similar music taste and have similar interests 

~ I love going to concerts/festivals, although I haven't been in a few years because life got busy. The last one I went to was Knotfest in 2021 and I'm hoping to see Bullet For My Valentine here soon

~ My current music obsessions are the albums A Death-Grip On Yesterday by Atreyu and Fever by Bullet For My Valentine and really any 2000/2010's metal core/crab core. Slowing leaving yet another phase with Japanese metal core

~ I am currently doing a deeper dive in the different waves of emo music, I just know the basics. It's pretty interesting to hear emo music slowly change but mostly stay true to the punk/post - hardcore/indie rock background it bloomed from. I can go on and on about music facts/history but I'll save you the boredom lol

~ I probably have 50+ playlists organized by vibe and genre/sub genre. I'm a huge lover for music and always looking for something new or to rediscover music I've forgotten about over the years. I listen to just about anything and everything, except today's pop music. I definitely prefer pop music from the late 90's - early 2000's

~ I really enjoy 'crappy' music as well... Like Midwest emo and older punk that sounds like it was recorded in a garage or basement with rough/terrible vocals (especially my Midwest emo). Just sounds like noise pretty much lol

~ Pretty sure I was a divorced dad in a past life lmao I love all things divorced dad rock related. I have a whole playlist dedicated to divorced dad rock that I listen to more often than I'd like to admit, but then again who doesn't lol

~ I enjoy painting in my free time, I may not be the best at it anymore because unfortunately I have to be an adult and work lol so my skill level isn't what it used to be. But I always look for ways to challenge myself and try new techniques or art style. I also crochet in my free time, the amount of unfinished projects I have is crazy, but I'll get them done at some point. I'm learning how to knit as well, even though I definitely don't need a new hobby 

~ I think that's just about everything lol
