FINALLY MAKING A BLOG POST HAPPY TUESDAY

Finally getting around to making a blog post, not for any reason other than I'm trying to kill time before class and I just finished doing a bunch of reading so my brain is fried. I'm trying to work on an essay about the book Good Morning, Midnight by writer Jean Rhys. The goal of the essay is to argue that the author is a spectral figure hanging over the novel. That's a bad way of explaining it, but I think it'll be an ok essay. It's for my Hauntology class, which has been super super cool. Contrary to what most people assume when I tell them I'm in a class called Hauntology, it is Not a class about the supernatural. It's actually a class about the idea of the spectre in media. This spectre can be a ghost, but it can also more loosely be trauma haunting someone, a live person haunting a place, memories haunting, etc. It's really fascinating and I've been really enjoying learning about it. 

In non-school related discussion, I've been considering downloading hinge or tinder. I definitely shouldn't. It's probably not a good idea. However, I love fucking around on dating apps and I could, well, use a good make out sesh or a fuck. Would be good for me. The only thing holding me back from making an account is I have so few good picture of myself. Aw well. Not the end of the world. I'm going to a valentines show on Friday with a friend (we're doing a single besties hangout) and I may get her to take a picture of me then.

Been listening to the Pixies today. Not that that's important, just want to say. I've been meaning to get into the Pixies for a few years, and now that I May (strong may) be seeing them in the summer, I figured no time was better to get into them than the present.  

Last update that no one needs but I'm giving is I'm hopefully starting therapy again soon! I've actually been doing pretty ok without therapy, but I feel like there's a couple things in my therapy journey I didn't really get to wrap up with my last therapist that I'd like to finish working on with this new one.
