How you guys are coding layouts ?

IT'S SO HARD OMGGG i wanted to re-do my layout... I found something i liked an amazing pre-made layouyt but i wanted to change the background x.x

Couldn't find a way to put the freakin' background on my page (i managed to understand how to do it but how do you guys do ????????)
