I have the worlds worst music taste istg

I listened to the song buddy Holly the other day and I was in love its actually so good, and then I started crying "no I don't wanna be a virgin forever!!! I wanna have a boyfriend soon, but now that's IMPOSSIBLE" (as you can tell I'm totally NOT dramatic at allll)

I hate these stupid fucking stereotypes.

I have since fallen in LOVE with the album Pinkerton and I've listened to it like 80 million times.

I told my friend I found some new music I really like but I wouldn't tell them who it was so I gave him hints and told him to guess, finally with the hint that "the fan base has a really bad reputation and is kinda known for being loser virgin incels" she guessed Weezer, then I proceeded to have a meltdown.

Pinkerton and blue album are great, but so far everything I've heard that they released in the 2000s sucks, which is a pretty common sentiment to have in the fanbase so :/

Edit: I re-listened to some stuff, maladroit is good, the red album is mostly good, and all the songs I've heard from the white album are good so far. I will update more of my thoughts later :)

Edit March 24 2025: I've listened to almost their entire discography now. The white album is one of the greatest albums I've ever listened to imo, Everything Will Be Alright In The End (EWBAITE) is also really good, a lot of things are really good, except for Pacific Daydream, I HATE PACIFIC DAYDREAM THAT ALBUM SUCKS!! And most of the black album, it's almost all really bad except for California Snow and Byzantine. 

Here's my thoughts about every album chronologically.

Blue is classic, a great album, although criminally overrated compared to some of the other stuff they have. Pinkerton is so good, I LOVE Pinkerton!! Green is pretty alright, not exceptional but by no means bad, Maladroit is much the same, I just feel like it's a little boring. Make Believe is.. something, I really like the song Haunt You Everyday though. Red is actually one of my favourites, Raditude is........... Raditude. yup. Hurleys alright, not bad at all and probably over-hated, but not their best. I already talked about EWBAITE and White (my beloved) and Pacific Daydream (eww) and black (ew). Teal is not bad, and it's over-hated by the fanbase, although they shouldn't have made a cover album self titled. OK Human is great! Very different, in a good  way! Van Weezer I haven't fully listened to, but from what I have, it's alright. Like the opposite musical style of OK Human, I love the song Beginning of the End though. SZNZ, I like Summer and Autumn, but not nearly as much as I like some of their other stuff, Spring is, ok.. And Winter is also ok.
