life update 2/10/25

why hello everyone! i am in a delightfully pleasant mood to yap once again. that is what i love about this platform, i feel like i am monologuing for an 80s teen movie. soon enough i will be standing outside a house holding a boombox over my head!

one recent development in my playfully mundane life is that i designed a tattoo! the other day my sister called me up to draw her a tattoo, so of course i said yes. after a quick little pinterest scroll and three episodes of Desperate Housewives, a tattoo was drawn!! my sister took that little drawing to her tattoo artist and two excruciating hours later, my work is permanently etched onto another human's skin... spooky. 

and in case anyone wonders how i spend my Friday nights, apparently it involves pretending to be Katherine Heigl. my mom decided to clean her closet out and because i am a super cool and popular 19-year-old, i canceled all of my totally real Friday night plans to help her. so one thing leads to another and i find myself being zipped up into my sister's freshman homecoming dress... the night has just begun. many hours later, we have multiple trash bags filled with clothes for goodwill and approximately 27 photos of me in anything from prom dresses to wedding gowns. after just one quick rendition of "bennie and the jets", we drew the night to a close. i walked away with 6 vintage tops, 5 pairs of low-rise jeans, and countless sleepless nights haunted by the memories of satin and tulle.

lately, i have been extremely delighted and grateful for the little things, even homework??? i primarily work from home which grants me the perfect opportunity to lay outside and crack open a good ol' assigned reading. since this past week has been 72' and sunny, i have found that a highlight of my day has been sitting in the backyard, doing homework, and listening some fleetwood mac. now i wish there was more to this story, but that's the beauty of it, this is it. what is life if not playfully romanticizing every moment? i would be remiss to let this moment of gratitude go unnoticed, so here i am writing about it for all to hear! now listen, i’m not going to ramble on about how “life is good” cuz i mean look at the news. however, i just felt like sharing couple of my happy little moments of the week and if i encourage anyone to appreciate the small things I'll be all the happier!

i guess I'm in a good mood because this ended on a randomly pleasant note! but I'll take the wins where i can get 'em.
