hey! i’m ruby this is my blog
Im 15 years old i like to study chemistry and maths although i’m not good at them… got 49% on my last chemistry exam and 66% on my maths…but!! I will try much harder, i mean i am trying much harder right now. i’m doing past papers and seeing where my weak points are and covering them. I feel like thats the most important thing to do when studying. Also just thinking “right. im going to get up, set a 15 minute timer to get ready (brush teeth, wash face, get dressed, tidy bed/desk area etc…) then i’m just going to sit down and start answering these questions for 1 hour! Then i’ll take a 10 minute break then do another 30 minutes.”
Easy. When you just get up and sit at that desk and think “this is my life, i want to choose to be smart and successful” You’d be surprised you actually can. Just put your mind to it. Just do it. No distractions, no music, no food, no screens (except for study), no excessive aesthetic study stationary or anything that takes your FULL focus away from answering those questions. Just grab any pen or pencil, sit your butt down at that desk, shut the door, set a timer, put the phone out of sight, sit up straight and focus. I know it sounds tiring and i know all we want to do is rot in bed and listen to music, but thats not going to get you ANYWHERE. Its not going to make you feel any better, trust me if you actually get up, get clean and ready for the day (dont take too long getting ready though), you’ll feel SO MUCH BETTER. Trust. Its only going to be a few years until we’re all grown ups and living by ourselves in the big scary world. So, we need to prepare now so it won’t be scary, it’ll just be a big world full of opportunities and experiences. If you study now, think of all the amazing well paying job opportunities that wont make working miserable. Think of the nice cozy house or apartment you’ll own because of the nice job you have. All thanks to your hard working and smart-choice-making teenage self. If you want to have a happy, healthy and fulfilling future…work for it. Now. Begin, now. Yes, right now.
How did this turn from talking about myself to a motivational speech about bettering your study skills..? Okay anyways… pluh!
