The common signs and why they exist

"Female" (but not "male," excluding transphobia) - I'm not sure why this is such a strong pattern aside from associating women with biology and men with being the default. How you will see this is using "female(s)" in place of woman/women, but rarely doing the same for men. This isn't to say all usages of the word female are problematic! There's nothing wrong with saying "female-centered perspective" or "male gaze" and can often be important to connect concepts to femininity with words like femme and female.

"Men have it harder!" - This is rarely the case. We can't generalize because there can be cases where a man's circumstances are made so miserable because of the patriarchy. Almost all of these are caused by transphobia and homophobia. Almost like emasculating🤪 associating men with femininity is the worst way you can systemically discriminate... Weird.

With that said... these claims are often completely false and border on blaming women for problems created by men with influence. Y'know, an area where the patriarchy is still prevalent... That's not to say "men create these problems for themselves," but that is to say men talking about how educational outcomes for men are getting worse* (in the west) nebulously blame systems instead of the system, the patriarchy, that creates advantages for men in other ways.

Maybe another entry will create a compilation on all the misleading comments on "misandry," but this isn't the time so just question all claims you hear of male discrimination. Where are they coming from? What solution is presented? Are root problems really addressed?

Important Note: There are also worse and more extreme variants of this such as anti-feminist beliefs, beliefs on gender wars, various beliefs on sex and dating...

Can women (straight, but bigots don't care to mention this) in relationships be friends with (straight, but bigots don't care to mention this) men?

Yes, of course. It's controlling, distrustful, and misogynistic to suggest anything else. This is entry is for the men who think their partner (and clearly women as a group) are 1: unfaithful and 2: unable to control their apparent desire to cheat.

Interrupting women frequently

Yes. Especially in important discussions.

"Traditional Values" and "Pro-life"

I don't even have to say what ideology these are tied to.
