sorry for disappearing for like 9 months/life update

hi everypony!! I haven't been active on here since April and I miss you guys so much!! I have changed a lot since April (ofc because it has almost been a year) so here's some life updates!! (some heavy stuff will be mentioned unfortunately so just a warning...) these also aren't in any specific order so uhmm

I'm gonna start with some positive stuff. I got a record player for Christmas and I also got records of brand new eyes, after laughter, collide with the sky, and from zero!! I also got a final riot CD, collide with the sky CD, and a danger days CD!!! I got some more stuff as well but those are my favs.

also IM SEEING PTV AND LINKIN PARK THIS YEAR!!! I'm SOOO EXCITED >W<

speaking of Linkin park, they came back in September! I remember seeing Emily appear on stage for the first time and completely falling in love with her... >//_//< (and we are going to ignore the couple hours of the day after where I lowkey hated her because of the stuff that came out about her) I will probably make a post defending her at some point. I've also been very hyperfixated on her since October. hopefully I don't pass out (or away) when I see her in Toronto in a few months because I'm pretty close to the stage ;w;

also, they're new album is AMAZING!!! definitely my favorite album of 2024 and my new second fav lp album (mtm is my #1 fav)

speaking of other things that happened in September, I started going to school for the first time! I only go during the afternoons so I only have two classes. first semester was art and drama (drama was so fun I miss itttt) and my second semester is music and tech. all of my teachers are super nice!! my favorite is probably my drama teacher though, shes awesome!!!

and don't jump me for this, but i came to accept the fact that I love rpf (I SHOWER EVERY NIGHT FYI.) currently a bit fixated on Haymily (Hayley Williams x Emily Armstrong) AUGGHHH THERYRE SOO CUTEEE!!!!! (they haven't even met before) also Tayley is still my otp dw guys. petetrick is also a ship that I like too. 

oh and recently, I GOT MY FIRST VA JOB!! its for a program called SNAP for youth! they're making like a cartoon for their program, its pretty cool :D and as of typing this I just reaslized, this technically isn't my first VA job. I also voiced Jon Walker in my friend's series on TikTok called efob (evil fall out boy)

my art stills have also improved a lot since April!! I'm probably gonna post some of it on here :3

I've also started making commentary content on YouTube! so far I've made a video about arttok and one about Paramore's best songs (that one was a bit rushed and didn't preform well unfortunately :[) my arttok video did really well though! I even got noticed by one of my favorite YouTubers! (bredrawz) I'm planning on making a video defending Emily Armstrong next. my yt channel is alexluvsskittlez if anypony wants to check it out :]

I've also been learning how to sing recently! I haven't really been practicing though because A. my family is always home, and B. every time I do it I have a strange feeling that my favorite singers and characters are watching and judging me.. I know they're not but still...

I've also joined film school recently! I met somepony there with pretty much the same music taste as me. they also like Paramore, ptv, lp, and I think fob too!! they actually saw Paramore at the same show I went too back in 2022! they're also going to see ptv later this year at the same place I'm going to! they've also seen ptv 4 TIMES!!! 4 TIMES!!!!!!!!! they are so cool :D unfortunately I didn't get to talk to them that much since I wasn't grouped with them. (don't get me wrong, the people who I was grouped with where also cool as hell!) film school is really fun! can's wait to go back tomorrow!!

CDs: this is why, after laughter, Paramore self titled, brand new eyes, the final riot, riot, all we know is falling, the jaws of life, misadventures, collide with the sky, minutes to midnight, hybrid theory, danger days, three cheers for sweet revenge, madness, let go, saccharine, and the king and queen of gasoline. I also have infinity on high being delivered soon!!

alright, that's it for the positive stuff!! I'm gonna get onto the more heavier stuff... (which, I don't think any of these are that deep but whatever.)

I'm gonna start with the most unserious thing here (and I wouldn't really count it as heavy) but I stopped watching Jake and Johnnie videos. and shortly after that I said some NASTY shit about Jake. which as much as I don't like him anymore I still deeply regret what I said about him. edit: as of February 11th 2025, after seeing the shit that came out about him and carrington, i don't regret the things i said about him. in fact I will gladly do it again.

the Emily Armstrong hate has also been bothering me a lot. I know the hate towards her has died down a lot (thankfully) but every once in a while I see some ignorant hater tear her down over her past (which i will not get into at the moment) me, my friends and my brother (who recently got into lp and is seeing them with me in August) would send eachother hate comments about her and make fun of them. because half of the time its the same fucking "no Chester no linkin park" or "scientology park" bs. so about like half of the time it doesn't bother me too much. however i have seen some people take the hate towards her WAY TOO FAR. as much as i hate to talk about this person again and give them more attention, ive seen this specific person on tumblr who quite literally wants Emily dead. they have written multiple hatefics about her getting killed. and they take PRIDE in these fics. (and i don't even need to explain how disgusting and wrong this behavior is.) this person is also 35 WITH A JOB. and yet dedicates their entire life to saying and writing nasty shit about Emily.

seeing people say awful shit about Emily honestly hurts me a lot and makes me want to cry. i can definitely see why shes off social media a lot now. i just wish people would see that shes not a bad person and that she makes mistakes just like the rest of us, it hurts seeing people attack her for misjudging somebody she considered a friend at the time or for something that she was born into and had no other choice. I know I don't know her personally but from seeing concert clips, interviews, and the newer lptv episodes, she seems like a really sweet person. she deserves so much better, I wish I could hug her :(

I'm so glad that the hate for her died down though, seeing her being loved by most of the lp fandom makes me very happy. <3

one of my cats also ran away, he hasn't come back for a few months and I don't think he ever will again.

I was gonna put a lot more heavier stuff here but I have decided not to.

anyway, despite all the crazy shit that has happened to me since April, my mental health has been getting a lot better since then! I honestly don't think I've been this happy in years.
