First blog! (slay.maa event + moar!)

henlo fwens! (⁠◠⁠‿⁠・⁠)⁠—⁠☆

This is my first blog!!! I should have made an introduction blog, but I guess we will get to that later. Today, after church activities, I went to slay.maa, and event at Gasket Alley, with L.E.Y and H.G.Y, but first, a pregame at Stickeriffic! Get into itttttttt!  

Stickeriffic, Jaya One

I had been contemplating on getting a pigment liner since I received an A5 folder as a gift. As a left-hander, I appreciate pigment liners because they are smudge-proof and bleed-proof. I also saw a new pigment liner I never seen before by Pentel. I got the 0.7 Uni in black, and 0.5 Pentel in black. A slay if you ask me (But upon testing, the grey one does bleed tho,,, =( ). After a rendezvous with H.G.Y and L.E.Y., we then made our way to slay.maa!  

Slay.maa, Gasket Alley

As we swiftly made our way to Gasket Alley, we were cracking jokes about slay.maa (why was it called slay.maa, like "slay mah"? more on that later) As I looked at pictures of other people attending the event, I was wondering as to which corner in Gasket Alley the event was held at, as I don't recall the place being that big. Turns out, the Harley Davidson workshop moved, and the space was turned into an event space. As we made our way through the entrance and corridor, I expressed my concerns of the area being gentrified (is this even concerning? kinda is tho)

We first made our way around the upper floor, which were mainly a few food vendors and a seating area. As we made our way down the the lower floor, that's where the real maze and overstimulation began.  We passed by bad.rina and snuggy (piercers who I have visited before), and I waved to their assistant piercers. They both recognised me! <⁠(⁠￣⁠︶⁠￣⁠)⁠> We then turned a corner and ended up at a roofless/ trash disposable/ another entrance down the slope area, and there were several people taking photos here. It was kinda aesthetic tho. We also took a selfie, and L.E.Y. helped me take a photo. I thought it was kinda funny, my face that is, haha.

After strolling around several more vendors, we finally stumbled upon the food vendors. We took a look at what options were available, and there was a vendor selling brookies (brownie + cookie)! Finger curled in front of my face and all! I was contemplating on getting it, but we decided to take a look at the last section that we had yet to walk to, and it had AC!!! When we went back to the food vendors, there was only ONE brookie left! I decided that this was itttttt. I got the brookie, and it was not bad! Eooow~ I was thinking about the effort the vendor must have put it baking the brookie, as I related with my own experience of making the mochi brownies. On a side note, I visited the washroom, and it surprised me how clean and well-designed the toilet was.

We were then on our way to our next location, whoosh~

Pasar Malam, Taman Paramount

We made our way to Taman Paramount, and L.E.Y. drove us there (denkiuuuu!). We had some difficulties finding the parking, but we eventually found it! We quickly walked through the pasar malam, and thought about why there were so few stalls open. We also hypothesised that it was perhaps due to the CNY season, or perhaps we were too late(?) to the pasar malam. The new ZUS signature we previously saw that was under renovation was finally open, and we went in to take a look. They even and an upper landing that had a behind-the-counter view of the baristas! 

H.G.Y. then suggested we had fish head noodle soup for dinner! We then had conversations about:

1. What does slay.maa actually mean? On IG, their name was slay.maaa with three A's, and L.E.Y. and I said that it stood for the Malaysian Artist and Associates. roight,, roight,,

2. I updated H.G.Y. about me returning to CG

3. Their rating for the food (H.G.Y.: 8/10; L.E.Y.: 7.8/10) I only had lemon iced tea, as the brookie was quite filling. I am still quite full as of writing this.

4. Several more undisclosed conversations, hehe

We then made our way home! I also stopped by a phone store to swap out my screen protector!

TBH this is my second time writing this blog because I didn't save a copy when it failed to upload,, but I do think blogging seems fun, as I haven't put in so much focus into something in a while. Please support my blog!
