Up up in the air 

Not here 

And not there 

Somewhere in between 

Way up in the air 

There is this weight 

Bearing down on my mind 

nervous 

And scared 

Anxious 

And excited 

This is the beginning 

And the end 

This is real now 

Not just all in my head 

 Am I ready? 

I stare down

More than I’ve ever been 

No longer an empty space

More than I’ve ever been 

Up up in the air 

There is only You 

And I 

No other letter 

Could ever tether 

Down down on the ground 

Land and stand 

Stretch my feet 

And let it all begin 

Down in the ground 

Still up in the air 

All I can do now 

Is make R aware 

Of the Y and I 

R and M 

As this journey 

Intertwined 

Begins
