Help! If you're a writer who's worked on stories before could you give me some tips? I've been trying to flesh out my own world/story.
It kinda has this sci-fi/post apocalyptic feel. I feel confident that I can do characters(eh) and world building pretty good(BUT I WOULD APPRECIATE TIPS ON THAT TOO) (∩´﹏`∩) I'm mostly just concerned on how to... Write the actual story down, how do I flesh out how characters get from the start to the end? How the hell does one do character development and stuff like that????
Any tips will do! I'd also love it if you shared any yt videos or even blogs on here that have helped you!

how to make character development:
Basically is like how to make a skilless dumbass with an unserious personality into a professional, highly trained badass with an unbreakable will, ofc you have to make a story, environment, an EVENTFUL event that will change the character, well, not have to be a dramatic change to the character in one night, you can slowly develop that step by step, event by event, do whatever you like as long the pacing is good.
how to write the plot off:
every writer on the earth struggles on that rn, so as long you have an explainable plot and logic behind the character's thinking and not a significant amount of plot holes and keep avoiding plot armors as best as you can, you are good to go.
Oh, some uncertainty while the protagonist dealing with trouble always works really well. Also, always plan your plot and characters ahead to avoid retcons (retroactive continuity)
I'm not a writer tho but I am into world-building, and here are the basics above.
