Fucking fed up with this winter bullshit

So I live in Finland, and all I keep seeing on the internet is people from primarily North America, complaining about walking to school in -2c weather with a thin layer of snow. Which I kinda understand, but still troubles me because where I live the weather can get anywhere from -5 to -30 c° (this particular winter has been kinda mild but still, it has got to that a few days) and schools don't even take to consideration to give us something like a snow day. I can choose whether I go to school by taking a 2km ish walk, or taking the bus. The busses operate all year because we got these decently paid sleep deprived guys which plow the snow every day, sent by the government and funded with our tax money.

Back to my point, I nearly always prefer the walk even though it can sometimes get pretty fucking freezing, because walking is fun, and the public transport to school is the only part of our education system that is NOT free. You just have to put more clothes on accordingly to the weather, simple as that. As for our snow situation, currently like 40 cm but it can get well over a meter, even though it's quite rare.

As you can maybe tell, the winter here is not quite enjoyable because it is constantly dark (its constantly getting lighter though, thank god) and I can't get around with my bike which would make stuff a lot easier :'( also I miss swimming and messing around with our 2 dogs, fishing etcetc. Especially going outside with just a fucking T shirt, which currently can be actually dangerous to do.

Oh benevolent sun, banish the cold from our land, and make it never come back.
