Film

The film is called a phenomenon of modern pop culture, and it is not surprising, because how can a film about a schizophrenic asshole with imaginary friends, who becomes popular because he also beats himself and others, cause so much hatred and love? The peculiarity of all this is that the film did not work out commercially, but even today, more than 10 years after its release, a large number of human call it their favorite film.

Charaters

The Narrator is the Main Character, whose real name is not revealed: everyone calls him either one of the names he invented himself, or Tyler Durden.
Tyler Durden is the favorite character of the shitheads. He preaches the rejection of everything that makes people consumers and turns them into savages.
Marla Singer is the woman because of whom everything around is happening. Because of her, the Narrator stopped enjoying visiting mutual aid clubs, went completely crazy and gave birth to Tyler.
All the other characters are shit and are not worthy of separate mention.

Differences between the ending of the movie and the book

In the movie, the Narrator and Marla end up watching the houses collapse.
In the book, things end much more interestingly.
1) In the book, the bomb plot is foiled
2) The Narrator pleads with God, who is sitting at a table with all his diplomas hanging behind him. God asks the man, “Why?”
3) The Narrator ends up in a mental institution. But, as he says, he occasionally sees the orderlies, whose chins are often turned to one side, and the janitor constantly whispers to him, “Your plan is still working. We miss you, Mr. Durden.”

I hope this information was useful for you ^^
